months later.

It's good to be back!

It's been a while since my last entry & within that time, sooooo much has happened! I have so many simply adorable pics I've wanted to post all this time, but it's hard to stay connected since we don't have internet at home.

Here's a quick update:

The arrival of our beautiful Amelie Sol came right on time, but I'll write the details on a post dedicated just to her. :) We've had a calm but eventful summer, with many good things & hot days to be thankful for. I'll be using the next couple of blogs to post such things like Amelie's birth, Ada's graduation, Emiliano's band & my creative reawakening. My mind is just racing with wonderful experiences I can't wait to share!

As for today, this Friday in the beautiful Windy City has been gorgeous!!!Some people have complained about the weather, but compared to the unusual chilly summers of past years , this one is definitely summer! We've had amazing thunderstorms that have caused damage to certain neighborhoods, but luckily, it wasn't too serious. Other than that, we've had a good time with family & friends. Amelie has been receiving so much love from everyone & I had a much needed time off for maternity leave. I returned to work after almost 3 1/2 months off and, although I miss my family, I enjoy being back out in the world. :)

Emiliano leaves with his band, Fandanguero(www.fandanguero.net), to Ohio for a
wedding. I'll be heading to my mom's with the girls for a yard sale & hopefully we'll make some nice $$$. It'll be a relaxing fin de semana con la familia Gaspar, which will probably involve some take-out & a movie. Mmm... If we're lukcy, we'll hang out on my parents' front steps & enjoy the weather (like back in the high school days when i used to live there) while the kids run around chasing the neighborhood bunnies & blowing bubbles! <3
